Better Together Wellness is a space for honest check-ins, shared humanity, and coming back to yourself - without fixing, forcing, or performing.

We believe wellness isn’t something you achieve. It’s something you return to. Again and again.

This platform exists for those who have done wellness before, but are craving something gentler now. Less optimization. More presence. Less “doing it right”. More being where you are.

Through reflective writing, thoughtful conversations, and curated in-person gatherings, BTW creates room to pause, notice, reconnect - with yourself and with others. We focus on wellness as a lived experience, not a checklist. A place to tell the truth. A place to belong.

There’s no pressure to transform here. Just an invitation to check in, show up as you are, and remember that' we’re not meant to do this alone.

Because wellness isn’t better when it’s perfect. It’s better when it’s shared.

A note from the founder…

Hi, I’m Alysia McKean, founder of Better together Wellness and creator of The Mat Project.

For years, I’ve had the privilege of bringing mindfulness, movement, and mental health resources to under-resourced communities through The Mat Project. That work has shaped me in profound ways - and taught me that wellness isn’t just a personal pursuit, it’s a community practice. It’s not about having the perfect routine - it’s about returning to yourself, again and again, with intention.

Better Together Wellness was born from that same spirit: the idea that small, conscious choices add up - and that we’re better when we take them together.

Thank you for being here. For caring. For showing up. For choosing conscious over convenient, community over competition, and wellness that’s rooted in purpose.
